Let me just start by saying I don’t know how moms do this without feeling a little crazy sometimes. My little guy is 15 months old now, which basically means he’s equal parts adorable and absolute chaos, and somehow in the middle of all that I’m trying to grow my Pinterest and figure out Amazon affiliate links. When I first started, I thought I had to spend hours every day creating content, scheduling pins, and making sure my links were perfect, and honestly, it felt impossible. But over time, I’ve been learning what actually works for me without completely losing my mind. The first thing I realized is that you really don’t need hours every single day to make this work. I block out short pockets of time, usually while my toddler is busy building towers or after he’s in bed, and I batch my pins. That means I might spend 30 minutes creating three or four pins at once and then schedule them for the week. It is way less stressful than thinking I need to do it all in one go and it actually keeps me consistent, which Pinterest seems to like.

Another thing that changed everything for me is realizing that Pinterest isn’t just about pretty pictures. Sure, a cozy, aesthetically pleasing pin helps, but saves and clicks happen when your pin actually solves a problem for someone. That is why I focus on lists, mini guides, and relatable mom life tips. For example, instead of just posting “Valentine Gifts for Tired Moms,” I make it something like “10 Valentine Gifts Every Tired Mom Will Actually Use” or “5 Amazon Finds That Save Me Hours Every Week.” That makes people want to save it because they know they can come back to it later. Even little touches like adding numbers or checkmarks to the image make a big difference because Pinterest users scroll fast and need to instantly know why they should save it.
I’m still learning how to balance everything, figure out what works for affiliate links, and grow my Pinterest at the same time. Some weeks feel like a total win, and other weeks feel like I am barely keeping up. It is all a learning process and I’m figuring out what works best for me and my toddler life one step at a time.
